The Municipality of Prosperidad successfully conducted the Ceremonial Distribution of Hybrid Rice Seeds today July 7, 2026 at the Municipal Covered court. Providing qualified rice farmers with more than โ‚ฑ4.7 million worth of hybrid rice seeds. This initiative reflects the local government’s continued commitment to increasing agricultural productivity, improving farmers’ incomes, and strengthening food security in the municipality.

Representing our beloved Municipal Mayor, Hon. Frederick Mark P. Mellana and Municipal Vice Mayor Jesusimo “Nanoy” Ronquillo, the activity was attended by Committee on Agriculture Vice Chairman, SB Member Fragen Romero, together with fellow members of the 20th Sangguniang Bayan, Municipal Agriculturist Marlita Cortez, and personnel from the Municipal Agriculture Office.

In his message, SB Member Fragen Romero expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Agriculture for its unwavering support in providing hybrid rice seeds to the farmers of Prosperidad. He also commended the farmer-beneficiaries for embracing modern agricultural technologies by choosing to plant hybrid rice varieties, emphasizing that their willingness to adopt improved farming practices is a vital step toward achieving higher productivity, better harvests, and greater food security for the municipality.

The distribution of hybrid rice seeds forms part of the government’s continuing efforts to equip farmers with quality agricultural inputs that can significantly increase rice production and contribute to the sustainable growth of the local agricultural sector.
