The Local Government of Prosperidad through the Municipal Tourism Council, successfully conducted the 1st Coordination Meeting for Angot Festival 2026 last July 17, 2026, at Jojo Catering, New Leyte, Barangay Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
The meeting was presided over by Hon. Catherine Frias with the support of Hon. Magdamit, Hon. Bastareche, and Hon Nishi Coyoca.
The agenda focused on the Angot Festival 2026 Calendar of Activities, particularly the planning, scheduling, and coordination of the festival’s various programs and events. Special attention was given to the festival’s major highlights, including Bae Angot 2026 and Saduw Tu Angot 2026, Agrifair, and Float parade ensuring that all committees are aligned in their respective roles and responsibilities.
With the active participation and collaboration of the 32 Barangays, Academe, religious sector, business sector, national agencies and other partner stakeholders, the meeting laid a strong foundation for a well-coordinated preparations.
Guided by a shared commitment, the festival aims to celebrate the rich culture, traditions, and unity of the people of Prosperidad while creating meaningful experiences for residents and visitors alike.
