𝐌𝐀𝐎 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐚𝐰 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝, 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 36 𝐂𝐒𝐎𝐬

The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Prosperidad participated in Dagyaw sa Prosperidad, strengthening its commitment to bringing agricultural services, interventions, and opportunities closer to community-based organizations.

As part of the activity, the MAO facilitated the distribution of more than 150 pouches of vegetable seeds and agricultural biologics to an estimated 36 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) members. The inputs are intended to support community-based vegetable production, promote sustainable farming practices, and encourage organizations to establish or enhance their own food production initiatives.

The provision of vegetable seeds will help CSOs develop productive gardens that can contribute to household and community food security, while the agricultural biologics will promote more environment-friendly and sustainable approaches to crop production.

The activity also served as an avenue for the MAO to promote the Municipal Accelerated and Socially-Inclusive Program for Agriculture (MASIPAG), the flagship agricultural program of Municipal Mayor Frederick Mark Mellana. Through MASIPAG, the Municipal Government seeks to advance inclusive agricultural development by connecting farmers, community organizations, and other stakeholders with appropriate agricultural programs, technologies, and livelihood opportunities.

Through its participation in Dagyaw sa Prosperidad and the continued implementation of MASIPAG, the MAO reinforces its commitment to strengthening partnerships with CSOs and ensuring that agricultural programs and interventions reach more communities.

The initiative reflects the Municipality of Prosperidad’s continuing commitment to food security, sustainable agriculture, inclusive development, and improved livelihoods for its people.
