100-hectare Hybrid Rice Model Farmers of the AgSur MAGKASAMA Irrigators Association (IA) in Barangay San Vicente, Prosperidad, received a comprehensive briefing on Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development Credit Opportunities from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).

The activity introduced farmers to available DBP financing programs that may support farm production, agricultural inputs, machinery and equipment acquisition, and the expansion of agri-based enterprises. The briefing also provided important information on eligibility requirements, application procedures, and responsible credit management.

The initiative aimed to equip farmers with knowledge on accessible financing options that can help increase farm productivity, strengthen agricultural enterprises, and improve their income and livelihood opportunities.
Present during the activity were Rice Coordinator Mary Rose Felipe and DBP personnel Nikki Rosales, who facilitated the discussion and provided valuable insights on the available credit opportunities. The activity further strengthened the partnership between farmers and financial institutions in promoting sustainable and productive rice farming in Prosperidad.
