As part of the Municipal Agriculture Office’s continuing Regular Animal Health Monitoring Program, this week’s accomplishment has a total of 78 small and large ruminants in Barangay Awa and San Vicente, Prosperidad received free deworming treatment and vitamins to promote better animal health and improve livestock productivity.

The activity, spearheaded by the Municipal Agriculture Office of Prosperidad under the leadership of Municipal Agriculturist Ma’am Marlita Cortez, aims to prevent parasitic infections that can affect the growth, health, and overall performance of goats, sheep, and cattle. Regular deworming is an essential animal health intervention that helps reduce disease risks, improve weight gain, and enhance livestock production for the benefit of local raisers.

The Municipal Agriculture Office encourages all livestock owners to participate in scheduled animal health activities and continue practicing proper livestock management. Through sustained veterinary and extension services, the LGU of Prosperidad remains committed to promoting a healthy livestock industry, increasing farmers’ productivity, and improving rural livelihoods.
