The distribution of more than 5,000 bags amounting to 4.4M worth of certified inbred rice seeds to registered rice farmers in the Municipality of Prosperidad officially commenced on June 24 and is currently ongoing through the farmers’ associations.

Implemented under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) โ€“ Seed Component of PhilRice, the activity is being facilitated by the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Prosperidad to ensure the timely and orderly distribution of quality seeds to qualified farmer-beneficiaries.

This initiative aims to improve rice productivity, increase farmers’ income, and strengthen food security by providing access to high-quality certified inbred rice seeds. It also highlights the government’s continued commitment to supporting rice farmers through sustainable agricultural programs and modern farming technologies.

The Municipal Agriculture Office expresses its gratitude to PhilRice and the Department of Agriculture for their continued partnership in uplifting the lives of our rice farmers.
