Barangay officials from 32 barangays, including Punong Barangays, Barangay Secretaries, and Barangay Treasurers, gathered for the two-day Presentation of the SGLGB 2026 Initial Assessment Results and Strategic Planning held at the Municipal Conference Room, Executive Building.
Facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) β Prosperidad, the activity provided barangay officials with a clearer understanding of their initial assessment results under the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB). MLGOO Jorem Luzon led the presentation, sharing insights on the performance of each participating barangay, recognizing their accomplishments, and pointing out areas where further improvements can be made.
More than just a presentation of results, the activity became a valuable opportunity for participants to reflect on their current governance practices and identify practical ways to address existing gaps. Through open discussions and collaborative planning, barangay officials crafted strategies and action plans aimed at strengthening local governance, improving public service delivery, and enhancing their compliance with SGLGB standards.
The activity also encouraged the exchange of experiences and best practices among barangays, fostering stronger collaboration and a shared commitment to providing more responsive, accountable, and effective services to their communities.
