Demonstrating its commitment to strengthening local social protection planning, DILG staff Jessa Balad-on, representing MLGOO Jorem Luzon, participated in the two-day Formulation Workshop for the Social Protection and Development Report (SPDR) CY 2027β2031.
The workshop convened representatives from various local government offices and partner agencies to collaboratively formulate a comprehensive Social Protection and Development Report that will serve as a key planning and policy guide in addressing the social risks and vulnerabilities of the community. Participants identified priority concerns, assessed existing interventions, and developed strategic responses to enhance the delivery of programs and services for vulnerable sectors over the next five years.
The SPDR serves as an essential tool in strengthening evidence-based planning, guiding policy formulation, and integrating social protection and development priorities into the local planning and budgeting processes, ensuring more responsive, inclusive, and sustainable governance.
