DILG staff Liezl Mae Dumanon, representing Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Jorem Luzon, attended the 2nd Joint Quarterly Meeting of the Municipal Tourism Council, Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), and the Municipal Council for Culture and the Arts (MCCA) on July 8, 2026, at the Conference Hall, Prosperidad.
The meeting convened members of the Municipal Tourism Council, BAC, and the Municipal Council for Culture and the Arts to discuss updates on tourism development, cultural preservation, and arts-related programs, as well as other priority initiatives of the municipality. It also provided an opportunity for participating offices and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and coordination in implementing programs that contribute to sustainable local development.
As the designated representative of the MLGOO, Ms. Dumanon attended the meeting on behalf of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), highlighting the Department’s continued support for collaborative governance and active engagement in local development initiatives. The DILG remains committed to strengthening partnerships with local government offices and stakeholders in promoting responsive governance, preserving the municipality’s cultural heritage, and advancing initiatives that foster sustainable tourism and inclusive community development.
