All 32 barangays in the municipality have successfully conducted their Barangay Assembly Day for the 1st semester, demonstrating full compliance with the provisions of the Local Government Code and a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and participatory governance.
The conduct of the assemblies served as an essential platform for barangay officials to present their accomplishments, financial status, ongoing programs, and priority plans. It also encouraged active community participation, allowing constituents to raise concerns, share insights, and contribute to local decision-making.
DILG personnel, headed by MLGOO Jorem Luzon, were present in selected barangays to observe the proceedings and ensure that the assemblies were conducted in accordance with existing guidelines. Their presence reaffirmed the importance of citizen engagement, transparency, and accountability in strengthening grassroots governance.
The 100% compliance of all barangays reflects the dedication of local leaders in promoting open governance and strengthening collaboration with their constituents. This milestone underscores the municipalityโs continued efforts in building empowered, informed, and participative communities.
