The Municipality of Prosperidad, together with its 32 barangays, joined the observance of the 2026 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), reaffirming its commitment to promoting a drug-free, healthy, and resilient community. The observance was further strengthened by the participation of DILG Prosperidad, led by MLGOO Jorem Luzon, MADAC Focal Person Ethel Zeljee Kay Lim, and representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), reflecting the strong partnership among national agencies and local government units in advancing the campaign against illegal drugs.
This year’s observance carries the global theme, “World Drug Problem: Persisting Issues, New Challenges, Innovative Responses,” emphasizing the importance of strengthening partnerships, adopting innovative approaches, and sustaining community-based efforts in addressing the evolving challenges of illegal drugs.
Through this collective observance, they demonstrated their unity and continued support for the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign, reinforcing their commitment to fostering safer, healthier, and more resilient communities for every Prosperidadnon.
