𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞| 𝗠𝗢𝗔 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗡𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗘𝗦’ 𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠

The Local Government Unit (LGU), in partnership with barangays, continues to strengthen efforts in addressing substance use through the Balay Silangan Program. This initiative provides temporary shelter and values formation for individuals recovering from illegal drug use, helping them reintegrate into society.

Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Frederick P. Mellana, the program is implemented through the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) and supported by Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs). These groups work together to ensure proper monitoring, support, and community involvement.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) guides the collaboration among stakeholders, clearly defining roles and promoting accountability and efficient service delivery.

Through this collective effort, the LGU aims to empower individuals to become productive, self-reliant, and law-abiding members of the community, contributing to a safer and drug-free municipality.
