To further strengthen transparency and promote accountability in local governance, the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) led the Orientation and Turnover on the implementation of the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) for the concerned local government offices following the resumption of FDP compliance.
In line with the agreement reached during the previous year’s coordination meeting, the responsibility for the preparation, posting, and submission of FDP requirements has been formally transferred to the respective concerned offices. As part of the transition, each office was encouraged to establish its own FDP Team to oversee compliance and ensure the timely submission of the required disclosure documents. The activity gathered department heads and their designated personnel to discuss the policy guidelines, roles, responsibilities, and procedures necessary for the effective implementation of the Full Disclosure Policy.
The orientation also served as the official turnover of FDP responsibilities, ensuring a smooth transition and a shared understanding of the updated compliance processes. Through this initiative, the MLGOO reaffirmed DILG’s commitment to assisting the Local Government Unit in institutionalizing transparency, strengthening accountability, and promoting good governance by ensuring the timely and accurate disclosure of public financial information in accordance with the Full Disclosure Policy
