The Municipal Budget Office, headed by Ms. Lucille Ytac, successfully sponsored the Municipal Flag Raising Ceremony in accordance with the 2026 Schedule of Sponsorship for Flag Raising and Flag Lowering Ceremonies. The activity was co-sponsored by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), headed by MLGOO Jorem Luzon.

The activity gathered municipal officials, department heads, employees, and representatives from various national government agencies and local offices to pay tribute to the Philippine flag and reaffirm their commitment to the principles of patriotism, integrity, and dedicated public service. The weekly flag ceremony continues to serve as an important avenue for promoting unity among government employees while reinforcing the values of accountability, discipline, and excellence in the delivery of public services.

The observance of the weekly flag ceremony is in compliance with Republic Act No. 8491, otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, which mandates all government offices to participate in the conduct of the Flag Raising Ceremony every Monday and the Flag Lowering Ceremony every Friday afternoon. Beyond fulfilling a legal requirement, the ceremony serves as a reminder of the shared responsibility of every public servant to uphold ethical governance and deliver responsive, transparent, and people-centered public service.
