Barangay Libertad, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, headed by Punong Barangay Nena Tampepe, together with the Barangay Council and Barangay Tanods, conducted the Strengthening Barangay Tanod Capability: A Capacity-Building Program for Effective Community Peace and Order.
The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of the Barangay Tanods in effectively performing their duties and responsibilities in maintaining peace, order, and public safety within the community.
Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Jorem Luzon served as the Resource Speaker, sharing valuable insights on the roles and responsibilities of Barangay Tanods, community engagement, conflict prevention, and appropriate responses to peace and order concerns. The activity highlighted the vital role of Barangay Tanods as frontline partners in maintaining a peaceful, safe, and orderly community.
