The Municipal Agricultural and Fishery Council (MAFC) of Prosperidad successfully convened its 3rd Quarter Meeting, bringing together council members and partner agencies to discuss key agricultural and fisheries concerns, review ongoing programs, and strengthen collaboration for the continuous growth and development of the municipality’s agriculture and fisheries sector.
The meeting was attended by Municipal Agriculturist Marlita Cortez and facilitated by MAFC Coordinator and Agriculturist II Jayzel Asumen, reaffirming the Municipal Agriculture Office’s commitment to strengthening the role of the council in agricultural governance and development.
A major highlight of the meeting was the election of the new set of MAFC officers, who will serve for the next two years. The newly elected officers are entrusted with leading the council in promoting programs, policies, and initiatives that advance the welfare of farmers and fisherfolk while effectively representing and addressing the concerns of the different agricultural and fisheries sectors.
The Municipal Agriculture Office extends its heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected officers and expresses its sincere appreciation to the outgoing officers for their dedication, commitment, and valuable service to the council and the farming and fishing communities of Prosperidad.
Together, let us continue working hand in hand toward a stronger, more resilient, and more progressive agriculture and fisheries sector for the Municipality of Prosperidad.
