Through the leadership of Municipal Agriculturist Marlita Cortez, the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) – Prosperidad, in collaboration with the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office (PAVO), conducted a Training on Entrepreneurial Management for four Corn Cluster Farmers Associations.

The participating organizations included the Opao Farmers Association, Sta. Irene Integrated Farmers Association, Los Arcos Corn Cluster Association, and AZNESANSAL Corn Cluster Association.

The training aimed to strengthen the entrepreneurial knowledge and management capabilities of corn farmer organizations, enabling them to better manage their agricultural enterprises and maximize the value of their produce. Participants were equipped with practical knowledge on business planning, financial management, marketing, record-keeping, and enterprise decision-making.

The activity also emphasized the importance of transforming farmers’ organizations into more sustainable and market-oriented enterprises. Through enhanced entrepreneurial skills, the participating associations are expected to improve their operations, explore business opportunities, and increase the income and livelihood opportunities of their members.

The collaborative effort of the MAO and PAVO demonstrates the continuing commitment of the local government and its agricultural partners to empower farmers, strengthen organized agricultural enterprises, and promote a more resilient and competitive corn industry in Prosperidad.
