Barangay Budget Forum and Preparation for CY 2027 – Day 1

The Barangay Budget Forum and Preparation for Calendar Year (CY) 2027 officially commenced with the participation of 16 barangays under Batch 1, bringing together barangay officials and local government representatives for an important discussion on responsible and effective budget planning.

The activity was graced by a message from Municipal Mayor Hon. Frederick Mark P. Mellana, who emphasized the importance of proper budgeting, transparency, accountability, and prioritizing programs and services that directly respond to the needs of the community.

Also sharing their insights during the forum were Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Jeffry Glenn Jala and Municipal Budget Officer Lucille L. Ytac, who provided guidance on the preparation and management of barangay budgets for CY 2027.

The forum aims to strengthen the capacity of barangay officials in preparing realistic, responsive, and compliant budgets while ensuring that available resources are aligned with the development priorities of their respective communities.

The successful Day 1 activity reflects the Local Government Unit’s continuing commitment to good governance, fiscal responsibility, and participatory planning for the benefit of every barangay and its constituents.
