Bringing Tax Education Closer to the People of San Vicente

As part of Day 1 of the Tax Information and Education Campaign, the Municipal Treasury Office (MTO) of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur conducted an afternoon session of Tax Information and Education Campaing on Real Property Tax (RPT) and Business Tax at Barangay San Vicente, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The activity was warmly welcomed by Barangay Kagawad Milagrosa Valenzuela, who expressed support for the initiative and the MTO’s efforts to bring tax information and services closer to the community.

The discussion was presented by Sir Zainelio T. Lazaga, CPA, Local Treasury Operations Officer III, who provided the participants with relevant information on Real Property Tax and Business Tax, including tax obligations, payment procedures, applicable deadlines, and the importance of timely tax payments.

The afternoon session also provided an opportunity for community members to ask questions and clarify concerns regarding their tax responsibilities, promoting better understanding and compliance among taxpayers.

Through this Day 1 campaign, the Municipal Treasury Office continues to strengthen taxpayer education, transparency, and cooperation between the Local Government Unit and the communities it serves.
