Day 2 Tax Information and Education Campaign Held in Barangay Lucena

Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, August 11, 2026 – The Municipal Treasury Office (MTO) of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur conducted Day 2 of the Tax Information and Education Campaign on Real Property Tax (RPT) and Business Tax at Barangay Lucena.

The campaign provided residents, property owners, and business owners with important information on their tax obligations, payment procedures, applicable deadlines, and the importance of timely tax payment.

As part of the discussion, Maria Corazon S. Almendras, Revenue Collection Clerk II, presented Barangay Lucena’s RPT collection status for January–July 2026. The barangay recorded a target collectible of ₱673,916.40, with ₱597,735.30 collected and a balance collectible of ₱76,181.10. The Barangay Share (25%) amounted to ₱74,716.91.

Meanwhile, Zainelio T. Lazaga, CPA, Local Treasury Operations Officer III, discussed and presented the Business Taxation, providing participants with relevant information to better understand their business tax obligations and compliance requirements.

The activity reinforced the importance of taxpayer awareness, compliance, and timely payment in supporting the delivery of local government programs, essential services, and community development initiatives. see more…
