LGU Prosperidad Calls for Data Support Ahead of CMCI 2026 Submission
The Local Government Unit of Prosperidad has started calling on concerned offices to assist in completing the Data Capture Form for the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) 2026 cycle, ahead of its submission to the National Competitiveness Council primarily collects data from the previous calendar year 2025. Concerned offices are requested to accomplish and submit the required data within the given deadline, to allow enough time for consolidation before the internal deadline.
The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) is an annual ranking of local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines, developed by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the National Competitiveness Council. It measures local economic sustainability and progress using five pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and Innovation. This ranking is used by local and international investors in identifying viable locations for business and investment in the Philippines.
The Local Economic and Investment Promotions Officer (LEDIPO) Ma’am Evelyn T. Monato, MPA serve as focal person from each concerned office are urged to coordinate closely with the CMCI working team to ensure that all required indicators are properly filled out and validated before consolidation. Offices are likewise encouraged to review the attached forms and reference materials to guide them in providing complete and accurate entries.
Ma’am Monato emphasized that the timely and accurate submission of data plays a crucial role in shaping Prosperidad’s competitiveness ranking, which in turn influences investment opportunities, development planning, and access to national government support programs. A strong CMCI performance also helps highlight the municipality’s strengths and identify areas that need further improvement.
The LGU reminded all participating offices that meeting the internal deadline is essential, as any delay in submission may affect the municipality’s overall preparation and compliance with the National Competitiveness Council’s requirements.
The Local Government Unit of Prosperidad expressed its appreciation to all offices for their continued cooperation and looks forward to a smooth and timely completion of this year’s CMCI data submission.
