LGU Prosperidad received two Exemplary Awards at the Provincial LCPC & LCAT-VAWC Summit!

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Prosperidad proudly earned two Exemplary Awards during the Provincial Summit of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and the Local Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC), held on July 31 at the Provincial Learning Center, Gov. D.O. Plaza Government Center, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. The recognition highlights the municipality’s exceptional commitment to advancing child protection, preventing violence against women and children, and strengthening initiatives against human trafficking through responsive and effective local governance.

The summit gathered government officials, partner agencies, and stakeholders from across the province to reinforce inter-agency collaboration, strengthen local protection mechanisms, and promote a unified approach to safeguarding the rights and welfare of women, children, and other vulnerable sectors.

Carrying the theme, “Isang Nasyon, Isang Aksyon: Uniting Local Councils to Build Safer Communities Free from Human Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children,” the event emphasized the importance of collective leadership, strong partnerships, and coordinated community action in creating safer, more inclusive, and resilient communities.
