MAO–Prosperidad Successfully Hosted Two Major Agricultural Events

The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Prosperidad successfully hosted two significant agricultural events today, February 24, 2026 : the 1st PAFES Monthly Full Coordination Meeting for 2026 and the Ceremonial Signing of the Co-Investment Plan for the Collaborative Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Program (CPAFEP) 2026–2028.

The activity gathered key agricultural leaders and partners from across the province, led by Governor Hon. Santiago B. Cane Jr., Regional Executive Director Engr. Ricardo “Bong” M. Oñate, Jr., Provincial Agriculturist Armando “Matt” G. Valiente, City and Municipal Agriculturists, members and representatives of the Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System (PAFES), partner agencies, and other distinguished guests.

The 1st PAFES Monthly Full Coordination Meeting for 2026 served as a vital platform for aligning agricultural plans, strengthening coordination among local government units, and harmonizing extension services across the province. Discussions focused on improving program implementation, maximizing available resources, and ensuring that agricultural interventions remain responsive, science-based, and farmer-centered.

A major highlight of the event was the Ceremonial Signing of the Co-Investment Plan for CPAFEP 2026–2028. The signing formalized the shared commitment of the provincial government, municipal LGUs, and partner agencies to collaboratively invest in programs that will enhance agricultural productivity, fisheries development, climate resilience, and market competitiveness. The agreement reinforces a unified vision of building a stronger and more sustainable agriculture and fisheries sector for the province.

In his message, the Municipal Mayor emphasized Prosperidad’s guiding principle, “Ride One Boat, Dance One Beat, Sing One Song,” underscoring the importance of unity, shared direction, and coordinated action among stakeholders. He also highlighted the core values of public service—integrity, transparency, accountability, efficiency, and compassion—as essential foundations in delivering meaningful programs to farmers and fisherfolk.

The successful hosting of the two events reflects the strong leadership and organizational capability of the MAO–Prosperidad team. Through their dedication and teamwork, the venue was well-prepared, the program was smoothly executed, and participants were warmly accommodated.

Indeed, the back-to-back events not only strengthened institutional partnerships but also reaffirmed the collective commitment of all stakeholders to uplift the lives of farmers and fisherfolk, enhance food security, and drive sustainable agricultural development in the years ahead.

MAO–Prosperidad continues to stand firm in its mission to support collaborative initiatives that promote progress, resilience, and prosperity in the agricultural sector—proving that when we ride one boat, move to one beat, and sing one song, meaningful development becomes possible.
