MBO Citizen Charter Internal Services: Issuance of Earmark and CAFOA

The Municipal Budget Office (MBO) provides internal services to facilitate the timely and orderly processing of financial documents necessary for the implementation of programs and activities of the Local Government Unit (LGU). One of its key services is the issuance of Earmark and Certificate of Availability of Funds and Obligation Authority (CAFOA).

The MBO verifies the availability of appropriations and ensures that requested funds are properly aligned with the approved budget and applicable budgeting rules and regulations. Upon submission of complete and appropriate supporting documents, the MBO processes the request and issues the corresponding Earmark and CAFOA to authorize the concerned office to proceed with the required transaction.
