The Municipal Health Office of Prosperidad participated in a Fire and Earthquake Drill on August 20, 2026 as part of the facility’s continuing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure the safety of both healthcare workers and patients. The activity was conducted under the leadership of Municipal Health Officer Dr. Fritzie Marie L. Jala in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection – Prosperidad.

The drill included practical demonstrations and exercises on proper emergency response, evacuation procedures, fire safety, and other measures to be observed during disasters and emergencies. FINSPI Lemuel P. Goloran, Officer-in-Charge/Head of BFP Prosperidad, together with FO2 Nina N. Bustamante and FO2 Geronimo M. Rabe, facilitated the activity and guided the MHO personnel through the appropriate response procedures.

The activity also provided the healthcare team an opportunity to assess how quickly and effectively they could respond when an emergency occurs within the facility. For the Municipal Health Office, regular drills such as this are part of keeping personnel prepared, not only to protect themselves, but also to respond to the needs of patients and community members who may require immediate assistance during an actual emergency.
