# MPDSO Conducts Purok Spot Map Making Workshop for Barangay Los Arcos

Barangay Los Arcos, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur—On June 22, 2026, the Municipal Planning and Development Services Office (MPDSO) conducted a Purok Spot Map Making Workshop for the Purok Officials and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of Barangay Los Arcos. The activity formed part of the municipality’s continuing efforts to strengthen community-based planning and improve the quality of local data for informed governance.

The MPDSO served as the resource speaker and facilitator of the workshop, providing participants with lectures and hands-on exercises on the preparation of accurate and updated purok spot maps. Participants were guided in identifying and plotting household locations, roads, public facilities, waterways, hazard-prone areas, and other significant community features within their respective puroks.

The workshop underscored the vital role of spot mapping in enhancing barangay profiling, health monitoring, disaster risk reduction and management, development planning, and the efficient implementation of government programs and services.
