MPDSO Participates as Board of Judges in World Population Day 2026 Poster Making Contest

In celebration of World Population Day 2026, the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) conducted a Session on Population Awareness and Gender Development Advocacy on July 10, 2026, at Father Urios High School, Prosperidad. The activity carried the theme, “Realizing the Hopes and Aspirations of Young People for Their Futures,” and aimed to raise awareness among young people on population and development issues, gender equality, and responsible citizenship.

As part of the celebration, a Poster Making Contest was organized for students of Father Urios High School, Prosperidad, providing them with an opportunity to creatively express their insights and perspectives on the event’s theme through art.

The Municipal Planning and Development Services Office (MPDSO) was invited to serve as part of the Board of Judges, represented by Architect Charlene L. Bahalla and Jason C. Cotiangco. They joined the panel in evaluating the entries based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, artistic presentation, and overall impact.

The activity highlighted the importance of engaging young people in discussions on population awareness and gender development while encouraging them to use their talents as a platform for advocacy and positive social change.

The participation of the MPDSO reflects its continued support for educational and community-based initiatives that promote youth empowerment, civic engagement, and sustainable development through collaboration with partner institutions and organizations.
