MPDSO Participates in the Municipal Ecological Solid Waste Management Board Meeting

PROSPERIDAD, AGUSAN DEL SUR – The Municipal Planning and Development Services Office (MPDSO), represented by Ms. Josie Rose S. Tepan, participated in the Municipal Ecological Solid Waste Management Board (MESWMB) Meeting held on July 29, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Room, Municipal Hall, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Convened by the Municipal Ecological Solid Waste Management Board, the meeting gathered members of the Board and representatives from various local government offices to discuss key concerns, updates, and strategies aimed at strengthening the implementation of ecological solid waste management programs in the Municipality of Prosperidad.

The activity highlighted the importance of coordination among local government offices and partner agencies in ensuring the effective implementation of Republic Act No. 9003, otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. Discussions focused on reinforcing waste reduction initiatives, improving waste segregation and collection practices, enhancing environmental awareness campaigns, and identifying collaborative approaches to address current solid waste management challenges within the municipality.

As one of the participating offices, the Municipal Planning and Development Services Office reaffirmed its commitment to integrating environmental sustainability into local development planning. The participation of Ms. Josie Rose S. Tepan reflects the office’s continued support for programs and policies that promote proper solid waste management, environmental protection, and sustainable community development.

The meeting also served as an avenue for strengthening partnerships among local government offices, ensuring that environmental initiatives are aligned with the municipality’s development goals and contribute to building cleaner, healthier, and more resilient communities.
