PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The Municipal Planning and Development Services Office (MPDSO), represented by Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Ludelio S. Paray, EnP, together with Arch. Charlene L. Bahalla, EnP and Engr. Michel Rema B. Tumulak, RChT, participated in the Close-Out Meeting between the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Prosperidad and the Incident Management Team (IMT) of La Paz following the successful conduct of the Palarong Pambansa 2026.
The three MPDSO personnel are trained members of the Municipal Emergency Operations Center and actively served as part of the EOC throughout the activation period from May 9 to May 31, 2026, in support of the municipality’s role as host of the delegates during the national sporting event.
The close-out meeting served as a venue to assess the overall emergency management operations, discuss accomplishments, identify best practices, and gather valuable feedback from the Incident Management Teams that were deployed to augment Prosperidad’s emergency response and coordination efforts during the conduct of the games.
Representatives from the Incident Management Teams shared their observations and recommendations to further strengthen the municipality’s disaster preparedness, emergency response mechanisms, and inter-agency coordination for future large-scale events. Their insights highlighted the importance of collaboration in ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes, officials, delegates, and spectators throughout the event.
As a gesture of gratitude and recognition for their dedication and invaluable service, tokens of appreciation were awarded to the Incident Management Teams from four municipalities that provided augmentation support during the conduct of Palaro Tu Agsur 2026. The presentation of tokens underscored the Municipality of Prosperidad’s appreciation for the unwavering commitment and professionalism demonstrated by the IMT personnel throughout the activation period.
The successful completion of the EOC and IMT operations reflects the strong partnership among local government units and emergency management stakeholders in ensuring a safe, orderly, and successful hosting of one of the country’s premier sporting events.
