MTO and BPLO Strengthen Business Compliance Through Ocular Inspection and Geo-Tagging in Barangay Napo

The Municipal Treasury Office (MTO), together with the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) of Prosperidad, conducted an ocular inspection and geo-tagging of business establishments in Barangay Napo, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, as part of the LGU’s continuing efforts to strengthen tax mapping, maintain accurate business records, and promote compliance with local tax and business regulations.

During the activity, the joint MTO-BPLO team visited business establishments within the barangay to verify their actual locations and business operations, gather and update relevant information, and record their geographic coordinates through geo-tagging. The activity also helped identify newly established businesses and verify the status of existing establishments.

The ocular inspection and geo-tagging initiative supports the LGU’s efforts toward efficient revenue collection, accurate business data management, and fair implementation of local taxation and licensing requirements. It also helps ensure that businesses operating within the municipality are properly documented and compliant with applicable requirements.

Through this collaborative effort, the MTO and BPLO continue to strengthen business monitoring, revenue administration, and public service, contributing to the sustainable growth and development of the Municipality of Prosperidad. see more…
