MTO & BPLO Strengthen Business Compliance through Tax Mapping, Geo-Tagging, and Business Inspection
PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The Municipal Treasury Office (MTO), in partnership with the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), successfully conducted a two-day Tax Mapping, Geo-Tagging, and Business Inspection in Barangay Aurora, Prosperidad, on June 29–30, 2026, as part of the Local Government Unit’s continuing efforts to strengthen business compliance, enhance revenue generation, and maintain an accurate database of business establishments within the municipality.
The activity focused on validating and updating business information through tax mapping, geo-tagging business locations for accurate monitoring and recordkeeping, and conducting on-site inspections to verify compliance with local tax ordinances, business permit requirements, and other applicable regulations.
Throughout the two-day operation, the inspection team visited various business establishments to assess compliance, provide updates on regulatory requirements, and remind business owners of the importance of securing and renewing the necessary permits, settling tax obligations on time, and adhering to existing local laws and policies.
The initiative also served as an opportunity to educate entrepreneurs on proper business registration procedures and the benefits of maintaining compliant business operations. These efforts contribute to improving the municipality’s business registry while promoting transparency, accountability, and the fair implementation of local regulations.
The Municipal Treasury Office extends its sincere appreciation to the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), the officials of Barangay Aurora, and all participating business owners for their cooperation and support throughout the two-day activity. Through collaborative initiatives such as this, the LGU of Prosperidad continues to foster a business-friendly environment, strengthen local governance, and promote sustainable economic growth for the benefit of the entire community.
