MTO Prosperidad Gains Practical Knowledge on Proper Use of Calibration Equipment and Proving Measures

DAVAO CITY – September 3, 2026 – As part of the Day 2 morning session of the Seminar-Training on Fuel Dispensing Calibration and Weighing Scale Verification, personnel from the Municipal Treasury Office (MTO) of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur participated in a technical discussion on the Proper Use and Handling of Calibration Equipment and Proving Measures.

The session, facilitated by resource speaker Engr. Ethel Mae V. Alba, highlighted the importance of correctly using, handling, and maintaining calibration equipment and proving measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of fuel dispensing pump inspections.

Participants were guided on the proper procedures in handling proving measures and other calibration tools, emphasizing that careful and correct use of equipment is essential in obtaining accurate measurements and determining whether fuel dispensing pumps comply with prescribed standards.

The discussion also reinforced the importance of maintaining the integrity and condition of calibration equipment, as reliable instruments play a vital role in protecting consumers from inaccurate measurements and promoting fairness among business establishments.

Through the session, MTO Prosperidad personnel further strengthened their technical knowledge and preparedness for the practical and field inspection activities of the training, supporting the office’s continuing commitment to accurate measurement, regulatory compliance, and consumer protection.
