Municipal Agriculture Office–Prosperidad Guests PTV Agusan’s DIO Hour

The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Prosperidad, through DIO Engr. Benjie Fiel Banjao, together with Agriculturist II Jayzel Asumen and Agricultural Technologist Blessy Avila, guested on PTV Agusan’s DIO Hour today, July 31, 2026.

During the program, the MAO team discussed the importance of agricultural insurance through the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), highlighting the various insurance policies available to farmers and fisherfolk. The discussion emphasized how crop and livestock insurance can help protect agricultural investments and provide financial support to farmers affected by natural calamities, pests, diseases, and other unforeseen risks.

The team also featured the various agricultural programs and services of the Municipality of Prosperidad, including initiatives designed to improve farm productivity, strengthen farmers’ livelihoods, promote sustainable agriculture, and expand access to government assistance and agricultural interventions.

The guesting served as an avenue to inform, educate, and connect farmers and the general public with available programs, services, and opportunities from the Municipal Agriculture Office and its partner agencies.
