Municipal Treasurer Emphasizes Importance of Barangay eSRE and Treasurers’ Responsibilities

During the Program Implementation Review and Strengthening of Revenue Targets of Barangays for CY 2026, Municipal Treasurer Roberto S. Sabuero, MPA delivered a message emphasizing the importance of the proper and accurate preparation of the Barangay Electronic Statement of Receipts and Expenditures (eSRE).

In his message, Municipal Treasurer Sabuero further deepened the participants’ understanding of the eSRE as an essential tool in maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring revenue performance, and promoting transparency and accountability in barangay financial management.

He also highlighted the important roles and responsibilities of Barangay Treasurers, particularly in the proper collection, recording, reporting, and safeguarding of barangay funds. He encouraged them to perform their duties with integrity, accuracy, accountability, and commitment to public service.

His message reinforced the vital role of Barangay Treasurers in ensuring sound fiscal management and supporting the effective delivery of programs and services in their respective barangays.
