Municipal Treasury Office Reminds Taxpayers of RPVARA Tax Amnesty Deadline During Flag Raising Ceremony

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur, June 9, 2026 – During the Municipal Treasury Office’s sponsorship of the Weekly Flag Raising Ceremony, taxpayers were reminded of the approaching deadline for the RPVARA Tax Amnesty Program, which will end on July 5, 2026.

As part of the office updates, the Municipal Treasurer, Roberto S. Sabuero, MPA, encouraged property owners with delinquent real property tax obligations to take advantage of the remaining amnesty period. The program offers qualified taxpayers the opportunity to settle their unpaid real property taxes and avail of the condonation of penalties, surcharges, and interests in accordance with the provisions of the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA).

He emphasized that availing of the tax amnesty not only helps taxpayers update their records and obligations but also contributes to strengthening local revenue generation, which supports the delivery of essential government services and development programs for the Municipality of Prosperidad.

With less than a month remaining before the deadline, the Municipal Treasurer urges all concerned taxpayers to visit the office and inquire about their real property tax accounts to ensure they can avail themselves of the benefits of the amnesty program.

The reminder formed part of the office’s continuing efforts to promote taxpayer awareness and encourage voluntary compliance with local tax obligations.
