Municipality of Prosperidad Holds Pre-Dagyaw 2026 to Strengthen Open Government Partnership
PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur — The Municipality of Prosperidad, through the Municipal Planning and Development Services Office (MPDSO), successfully conducted Pre-Dagyaw 2026: Prosperidad’s Voice in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) on July 1, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Hall.
The activity brought together members of the PH-OGP Municipal Steering Committee, representatives from various municipal government offices, civil society organizations, people’s organizations, and other key stakeholders in preparation for the upcoming Dagyaw 2026.
The event was spearheaded by Municipal Mayor Hon. Frederick Mark P. Mellana, Chairperson of the PH-OGP Municipal Steering Committee, together with Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Ludelio S. Paray, who serves as the Committee’s Vice Chairperson.
The Pre-Dagyaw served as an important platform for dialogue, encouraging active participation from both government and non-government sectors in discussing local governance concerns, development priorities, and strategies to improve public service delivery. Participants also reaffirmed their commitment to the core principles of the Open Government Partnership transparency, accountability, citizen participation, and inclusive governance.
As part of the activity, the PH-OGP Municipal Steering Committee highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration among local government offices, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders in developing responsive and people-centered programs and policies.
The Municipality of Prosperidad remains steadfast in advancing open and participatory governance by creating meaningful opportunities for citizens and stakeholders to engage in decision-making processes. Through initiatives such as Pre-Dagyaw 2026, the local government continues to build stronger partnerships that promote sustainable development and responsive public service for every Prosperidadnon.
