Municipality of Prosperidad Showcases LGSF-Funded Ambulance Project for DILG FY 2026 Coffee Table Book

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The Municipality of Prosperidad, through the Municipal Planning and Development Services Office (MPDSO), participated in the documentation activity conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Agusan del Sur Provincial Office on 29 July 2026 for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Coffee Table Book. The activity forms part of DILG’s initiative to document and promote exemplary development projects funded under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) that demonstrate significant contributions to local governance and public service delivery.

The FY 2026 Coffee Table Book is envisioned to serve as a compilation of noteworthy projects implemented by local government units across the province, highlighting initiatives that embody transparency, accountability, innovation, and effective utilisation of government resources. Through comprehensive project documentation, the publication aims to showcase best practices and inspire local government units to continuously pursue responsive and sustainable development.

For the Municipality of Prosperidad, the featured project is the Purchase of Vehicle – Ambulance under the Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) Fiscal Year 2023. The project was identified as one of the municipality’s significant investments in strengthening its health and emergency response services, providing residents with improved access to timely and efficient medical transportation during emergencies and disaster situations.

As part of the documentation process, representatives from the DILG Agusan del Sur Provincial Office conducted site visits, gathered project information, and documented the implementation and operational impact of the ambulance through photographs and interviews. The activity highlighted the project’s objectives, implementation process, and its contribution to enhancing the municipality’s capacity to deliver essential healthcare services to its constituents.

The acquisition of the ambulance has reinforced the Local Government Unit’s commitment to protecting the health and welfare of its residents. The vehicle serves as a vital resource in responding to medical emergencies, facilitating the safe transport of patients to healthcare facilities, and ensuring that emergency medical assistance remains accessible, particularly to residents from geographically distant barangays. The Municipal Planning and Development Services Office facilitated the documentation activity by coordinating with the DILG team and providing the necessary project information and implementation records.
