Municipality of Prosperidad Welcomes Benchmarking Delegation from the Municipality of Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur, July 28, 2026 – The Municipal Treasury Office of the Municipality of Prosperidad warmly welcomed the benchmarking delegation from the Municipality of Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, as part of its continuing commitment to promote knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices in local governance.

The benchmarking activity was attended by Hon. THEODY A. MATIAS, Sangguniang Bayan Member; KAREN S. BETARMOS, Municipal Treasurer; and DARLENE I. ALCANTARA, Municipal Assessor of the Municipality of Bayog. They were warmly received by ROBERTO S. SABUERO, MPA, Municipal Treasurer of Prosperidad, together with the Municipal Treasury Office personnel.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in productive discussions on treasury operations, revenue generation strategies, tax administration, office management, and other best practices that contribute to efficient and effective public service. The activity also provided an opportunity for both local government units to exchange valuable experiences, innovative approaches, and practical solutions to common challenges in local governance.

The benchmarking session highlighted the importance of collaboration among local government units in strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing the delivery of quality public services. Through initiatives like this, both municipalities reaffirm their commitment to continuous improvement, transparency, and excellence in public financial management.
