Observance of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons and Capability Building for Frontline Workers on Human Trafficking Prevention, Identification, and Victim Protection

July 30, 2026, the Municipality of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur successfully conducted the Observance of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons and Capability Building for Frontline Workers on Human Trafficking Prevention, Identification, and Victim Protection at the Farmers Hall, Municipal Agriculture Office.

The activity was facilitated by Ma’am Juna Reah C. Cabingas, Administrative Officer III of the Provincial Legal Office, who shared valuable knowledge on preventing human trafficking, identifying potential victims, strengthening referral mechanisms, and ensuring the protection of survivors.

The training was attended by members of the Municipal Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (MCAT-VAWC), Punong Barangays, Sangguniang Barangay Committee on Women and Children Chairpersons, Barangay VAW Desk Officers, Barangay Secretaries, and Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons.

Together, we reaffirm our commitment to building safer communities by strengthening the capacity of our frontline workers and working collectively to end human trafficking.
