Prosperidad EOC Activated Amid Shear Line Threat
PROSPERIDAD, AGUSAN DEL SUR – The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of the Municipality of Prosperidad convened an emergency meeting today to intensify monitoring, coordination, and preparedness efforts in response to the prevailing Shear Line weather disturbance affecting parts of Mindanao.
Municipal officials, response cluster heads, and partner agencies gathered to assess the current weather situation, review contingency plans, and align response strategies to ensure community safety. The meeting focused on pre-emptive measures, resource readiness, and strengthening communication protocols among concerned offices.
During the discussion, the EOC emphasized the importance of continuous weather monitoring, early warning dissemination, and rapid response activation should conditions worsen. Coordination with barangay officials was also reinforced to ensure timely reporting of incidents such as flooding, landslides, or other weather-related hazards.
The Municipal Government assured residents that proactive measures are in place to safeguard lives and properties. Continuous monitoring and close inter-agency coordination will remain active as authorities closely track developments related to the Shear Line.
