Supplemental Feeding Program Conducts 2nd Release Under the 16th Implementation in Prosperidad

The Municipal Government of Prosperidad, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), successfully facilitated the 2nd release of food commodities under the 16th Implementation of the Supplemental Feeding Program (SFP) on July 3, 2026, at the Barangay Poblacion Covered Court.

The activity was spearheaded by Ms. Glenna Litson Gagula, Project Development Officer II (PDO II) assigned in Prosperidad, together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) team. Also present during the implementation were the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Municipal Links, the DSWD inspection team, and the Meat Inspector of the Local Government Unit of Prosperidad, who ensured that all food commodities complied with the required quality and food safety standards before distribution.

The second release forms part of the continuing implementation of the Supplemental Feeding Program, a flagship nutrition intervention of the DSWD that aims to improve the nutritional status of children enrolled in Child Development Centers by providing nutritious food supplements. Through regular monitoring and strict quality assurance, the program ensures that beneficiaries receive safe, nutritious, and high-quality food commodities throughout the implementation period.

The successful conduct of this activity reflects the strong partnership between the DSWD and the Local Government Unit of Prosperidad in advancing child nutrition and promoting the health, growth, and holistic development of young children. Through sustained collaboration and commitment, the program continues to support the well-being of children and contribute to building healthier communities.
