TECHNICAL BUDGET HEARING FOR CY 2027 DAY 2: Social Sector Presentations

The Municipal Budget Office, headed by Municipal Budget Officer Lucille L. Ytac, successfully conducted Day 2 of the Technical Budget Hearing for Calendar Year (CY) 2027, with the participation of Municipal Mayor Hon. Frederick Mark P. Mellana. The activity is a key part of the municipality’s budget preparation process, ensuring that departmental proposals are aligned with local development priorities, strategic goals, and sound fiscal management.

During the hearing, representatives from the Social Sector, including the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM), Municipal Health Office (MHO), and other participating offices, presented their proposed Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) and budget requirements for CY 2027. The presentations were carefully evaluated and discussed to ensure that the proposed initiatives effectively respond to the needs of the community while maximizing the efficient use of public funds.

The Technical Budget Hearing reflects the local government’s commitment to transparent, participatory, and accountable governance. Through the collaborative efforts of the Municipal Budget Office, the Office of the Municipal Mayor, and all participating departments, the municipality continues to strengthen its planning and budgeting process in pursuit of sustainable development and improved public service delivery for all constituents.
