The Seminar-Training on Fuel Dispensing Calibration and Weighing Scale Verification brought together a team of knowledgeable and experienced resource speakers who shared their technical expertise to strengthen the competencies of participating local government personnel, including representatives from the Municipal Treasury Office (MTO) of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
The seminar featured a series of lectures, technical discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises covering the proper calibration, inspection, and verification of fuel dispensing pumps and weighing instruments.
The resource speakers who contributed to the success of the training for the Day 2 & 3 included:
✓ Engr. Theodoric R. Alingalan
✓ Engr. Ethel Mae V. Alba
✓ Engr. Delfred I. Laman
✓ Engr. Gwayne Christianne L. Selvano
✓ Engr. Trischalyn M. Serna
Their discussions provided participants with valuable insights into fuel measurement standards, calibration procedures, proper handling of calibration equipment and proving measures, applicable laws and regulations, and the identification of calibration irregularities and common violations.
The expertise shared by the resource speakers helped bridge the gap between technical concepts and their actual application in the field. Through demonstrations and practical exercises, participants were given opportunities to better understand the procedures involved in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of fuel dispensing equipment.
For MTO Prosperidad, the participation in this capacity-building activity provided an important opportunity to enhance the technical knowledge and skills of its personnel in the implementation of weights and measures regulations, particularly in the inspection and verification of fuel dispensing pumps.
The Municipal Treasury Office extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the resource speakers for sharing their time, expertise, and valuable experiences, which contributed significantly to the success of the three-day seminar-training and to the continuing pursuit of accurate measurement, fair trade, regulatory compliance, and consumer protection.
